Independence Day Fireworks

Learn to photograph brilliant fireworks during this fun evening in Marin County, CA. You will learn to use a black card to create stunning multiple burts, creative zooming techniques, panning and timed exposures. The fireworks are beautifully reflected in a small lake as they are fired off. After the fireworks display we will photograph the amusement rides and their reflections and work with abstract patterns. A huge bonus is a full moon and you will learn how to create a perfect exposure for photographing the moon.

Not recommended for non SLR users or beginners who do not have a good working knowledge of their camera. The action happens very fast once they begin firing off the fireworks.

Dates: July 3rd

Cost is $130 which includes photo instruction and follow up written photo critique.

"I learn more about taking shots and how cameras work every time I take a class. I definitely get shots I would not have done otherwise." Fireworks '07, C. Shelton

"I have done a few photo walks and tours and I was impressed with the amount of time that our leader/instructor Gale Perry spent on the technical and creative applications. For me this is exactly what I have been looking for to expand my craft." '07, T. Scussel
